Monsoons are in full swing and our monsonal nesters are quite active.
This Five-striped Sparrow was photographed in California gulch by Pete Baum.

So Many Birds, So Little Time

In order to see birds, it is necessary to become part of the silence."
~Robert Lynd
Whether you are a birdwatcher or a bird nut like me, come have a Southern Arizona Adventure!
Each adventure is designed as a unique and personalized birding experience, with a schedule and pace tailored to your needs, No fifteen passenger van to crawl in and out of, plus lots of little extras a big tour company cannot offer, at about the same cost.

A bit of musing here, not meant to ruffle feathers, but perhaps a time to reflect. As we enter into migration, we birders can get in a bit of a hurry. . . this is when we use the tapes, toot a lot and pish to get the little ones to show their beauty. As a note of inquiry. . . I wonder if by using these methods when they are looking for a place to settle down and breed, if we are moving them off prime real-estate because they believe another virile male has already settled in. Let's face it those tapes sound pretty good even to those of the breeding species.
We cater to people unable or unwilling to do the rigorous schedule of a tour group. Lunch can be provided upon request.
We now accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.

stay safe and stay healthy!! Hugs to all, Melody

We are based in Tucson, but will gladly travel to meet you closer to our birding destination during your stay.
Tony and Julie's B & B is perfect for those that cannot just get up and go. The birding from the yard and the size of the B & B afford them to be able to pay special attention to those that need a little extra assistance and Tony just thrives on being able to show the birds in the yard. The Elf Owl is his baby. They are not big, but offer themselves as little or as much as guests want. They have a little piece of heaven here and love to be able to share it. They are located at the base of Miller Canyon in Hereford, AZ. Minutes away from Ash, Carr and Ramsey Canyon.
Located in Hereford outside of Sierra Vista, this is one of the great Bed and Breakfasts in this area. Patrick and Karl do a great job.

A lovely Bed and Breakfast set near the top of Madera Canyon. Lots of hummers along with the hospitality.

Paradise. . . what a name for a place to live and/or visit. And paradise it is with so many birds. This is probably the most reliable place to visit for the Juniper Titmouse. The Bed and Breakfast is fabulous and the surrounding to die for. Jackie and Winston go out of their way to make your visit more than expected. Highly recommended!!!!

Another Bed and Breakfast in Madera Canyon. I always feel so welcome when I visit here. They are in the heart of the canyon and the birds twitter incessantly. Truly a birding haven.

Charming casitas midtown, close to Speedway and Columbus. Reasonably priced if you plan to stay a few days.

The new proprietor is doing some very good things with the birds first and foremost on his mind. The birding is coming back to its former glory.
SPECIAL BIRDING PACKAGE: Sunday-Wednesday $145.00, includes a bottle of wine upon check-in, dinner for two at the Steak-Out ($30.00 gift certificate), bed and breakfast.
